Without You! Poem by Robert Edgar Burns

Without You!

Without you a rainbow
Would be a sad sight.
As would a butterflies wing
Caught in the suns' light.
Nothing in my life
Would turn out all right.
Even in the daytime
It would feel like night,
Without You!

Without you I'd cease to exist.
I'd take no more breath,
Not even a wisp.
I'd fade like a vapor
And vanish from sight.
I would be blinded, for
There'd be no more light,
Without You!

Without you there
I’m afraid that I’d be
Looking into the sun
Blinded, unable to see.
Falling into a ditch
And stumbling on my way,
Questioning my existence,
Pondering why I should stay,
Without You!
