Without Your Embrace Poem by abu tarek md tahsin

Without Your Embrace

You whisper
among the waves
that unfurl within my soul.

you that took
what i had not to give!

upon these barren
lands
of these mud and bricks,

our paths had crossed
on dewy winter's morning,

and on many
a summer's day.

but death could not undo
the tears of this empty being
of childish innocence
that trampled on the sandy beach
of a lifetime of memories.

oh my soul,
how it pangs!
how it cracks!
and how it bangs!
upon these agonizing days

Left here without your embrace.
