Woman Pope Poem by Gedion Onyango

Woman Pope

I dreamed of woman papacy
Hatched in the vatican
Brooding in holiness and blessing the world
Loathed, loved and hailed
I saw women angels serving her
with discreet and embracing her holy see with wisdom
The woman pope emerged from the crowed
Of the white smoke
As the dark forces of conservativeness
retreated to heaven where came from
And the woman pope was magnificent in her womanly attire
Her white cap full to fit her long dark hair

She looked modern and sincere with the world
And the heavens were more in love
To witness the birth of equality into the world

The woman pope had senior women cardinals
All in red, purple and white mini caps
Their smiles alone spread peace in the world

That was my vision of woman pope
Sited in the Vatican!
