Wonder Why Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Wonder Why

Wonder why

Memory is a line
Maybe roots, in ground
All felt but never seen!

I wonder!
I wonder!
I wonder!

Why don't we remember
The things done, or the said!

Wonder why only talk
Of the things in the eye
We ignore what the mind
Must know well, and recall!

ISIS is yet alive
Bin Laden, sort of gone
But each day, after day:
"Taliban, Taliban, Taliban! "

In Kabul, Washington
And Qatar to Oman, Pakistan:
"Taliban, Taliban, Taliban! "

Do we know who they are?
If we read in depth, must.

Britain had a Co,
The so-called:
India…
Sibling was here
HBC, Canada's…

They had a duty
"Loot and nail the locals! "

On surface their leaders
Were into business
But order of above:
"Colonize…"

Traded
Changed the faith,
Shaking bed, cradles
Of the past of people…

Some stood, resisted
Reclaimed their cultures.

Such heroes needed tools
That could be in writing
And lectures or speech
If not by Jihad to:
"Rise and kill…"

Company with old name
Or changed to government
Baptised and gave a name
To honored resisters:
"The Savage Murderers! "

While guilty is still
In palace, holding seat
Charging and convicting
The loser innocent
With the wrongful blames
Though seeking righteousness
There will be Taliban and ISIS.

Hey voters
You, voters
With power
You are the peace lovers
And faithful believers
In the name of mother
Or praising father
Or nature and the Earth
You can change…

Let's stand
Together, United
To kick out such bastards
(The bullies and corrupt.)
