Treasure Island

Words

Words
Flap their wings
Before nesting
On her lips.

The beauty of
Words
Less revealed more concealed
Like tender breast of a Marathi lady
In the cave of her mind.

Words
Do enter often silently
In the yard of her heart
Like intruders
Cross the border of another Country.

Words come and leave,
Sleep and dance
Hurry on her lips
She is my aphasic daughter.

Wake the better soul, that slumbered,
To a holy, calm delight;

Ere the evening lamps are lighted,
