Words Left Unsaid... Poem by Victoria Waylett

Words Left Unsaid...

The hidden scream, addicts beg, gold diggers wed, hookers lay in bed. Words unsaid. Born innocent, life corrupting. Lovers smile, lovers wed, love not returned, rejection.
Words left unsaid. A lie told.
Smiles so pure, faces emotionless. Nothingness is around us, grasping at our souls, feeding on our flaws, leaving us raw. What a marvelous night. Snow sleeping upon the rocks. Heart melting, smile shy. Tears, anger! betrayal! Nothingness sleeps beside us, stares at us every morning, sings to our tears.
The selfish lose everything, the immature live superficial, sick wander the streets. Some touch what is forbidden, some do what shouldn't, some do only what is told. Lovers dream, lovers cheat, love grits teeth...Some love is hidden behind false sayings, some emotions not shown for hurt is brewing.
Hate surrounds us, trying to grasp us and force us to hell. Kindness opens its gates and smiles. We stand in the middle being yanked between what's right and wrong.
Words left unsaid, lie lay in comfort.
