Words Of A Needy Person

Oh God! When will you answer?
The questions I deeply ask
When will you show me?
And my starving children
The needed path
I see people walk by
With their precious ones in hand
Giving them love and care
But there’s something I just can’t understand
Oh god! You gave them wealth
But all I’m asking for is a little health
To feed my children on the tiresome days
To put them to bed,
Instead of bearing their innocent gaze
You gave them joy
But I’m just asking for a little smile
To help my family feel unregretful for a while
You gave them friends,
But I just want a person to be there
Dear God! You gave them roads to drive their cars on
But I’m just asking for a little way to walk my children by
You gave them gas ceramics for winter
But all I want is two logs for a little fire
You gave them books
But all i need is a clever mind
You gave them big houses
But I’m just asking for a shelter to keep my family from the rain
Dear God! You gifted them a well life
With a knowledgeable hand, an inked pen
But all I ever prayed was for me and my family
To end up peacefully in heaven…
