Words unsaid
lingered and fled
all around my head
as I lay in bed
awaiting sleep,
its comfort deep.
To let silence creep
in shadows deep.
Yet to my dismay,
I found out today
through neither trick nor play
that awake I must stay.
And so with lead,
I voice out my dread
of words unsaid,
as I lay in bed
