The power with which one's prayer is sent,
Such desire, to more or less extent,
He for sure doth beget,
Soon or at later date,
Nor he rests nor reverts all content.

Touches such a keen wish cosmic soul
O to be a universal whole,
In course force to gather
That never doth wither.

The transliteration of the subhāśhita is given below:

yah yam artham prārthayeta yat artham ghaţate api cha |
avashyam tat avāpnotina chet shrāntah nivartate ||

All prayers are answered if pursued heart and soul, body awhole. Yes, disappointed, discontent he should not revert, pursuing not enough. When an individual heart heaves, the cosmic heart comes to its aid and things fall in place. All prayers offered with full efforts pursued, are proffered.

yah: one who; yam: whatso, whatever; artham: purpose, object of desire, wish; prārthayeta cha yat: and prays for that; artham: object of desire; ghaţate api cha: and even though lesser than he desired; avashyam: for sure, without fail; tat avāpnoti: he obtains that, attains, gets; na chet: not if, not until; śhrāntah: contented, quiet with little efforts; nivartate: (he)turns back, reverts.
