World Of Lies Poem by Paritosh Dhawan

My parents promised me to guide my life
but they lied
They weren't there when I need them the most
they died.
 
My teachers said what we teach is all you require
but they lied
They didn't tell me about the practical life that's what
they hide.
 
My friends were the one I trust the most and they promised to be
by my side,
But they left me alone to face the world, they broke their promise
they lied.
 
I know I was right and society supported me a lot
but they lied
Those hypocrates were the one against me
I struggled I tried.
 
They lied on my face, in front of my eyes,
It's hard to breath in this World of LIES.
