Wrists Ache At Your Magnificence Poem by Janine Alyssa Navarro

Wrists Ache At Your Magnificence

You make me infinite like the stars in the sky
It’s as if I can defy everything that took over me

Even the lush heavens, solid grounds and promising air
You used your wonderful poetry against defenseless me

It handcuffed my heart to the pavements of your paradise
Your heartbeat constantly sings until I breathe no more

You’ve etched yourself on my skin like a beauty spot
My wrists ache at your magnificence; I surrender to you
