Writers Block Poem by Phil Soar

Writers Block

I said I'd write a poem every day
It's proving harder than I thought it might
My brain cells don't perform well if I'm honest
Especially when the moon is out of sight

As writers block becomes a major problem
And lunar schedules play with my emotions
I can't help thinking all my thoughts are going
As if a witch has slipped me toxic potions

So I'll try and make an effort every morning
And even if the words don't flow so freely
I'll look up at the moon with a sad expression
And howl like a banshee with one word:
'REALLY? '
