Written Wishes Poem by bob barci

Busy, busy, busy.
This seems to be a popular month.
This poet has several birthday poems
he'd like to write.
I hope I get to them all.
Sent out all the cards on time,
but I'm late on one poem.
I'm sure I'll get forgiven;
I better be.
This is one of those birthday poems
Although it doesn't sound like it.
One for someone I haven't seen or heard
from in a while. (Is this a hint or what?)
I've called numerous times,
but the phone is cut off.
I've written, but got no reply. (Another hint, eh?)
I'd like to verbally give him
my birthday wishes with
a batch of poems he hasn't heard,
but I can't contact him.
I need to let him know
that I still think of him.
though I don't get to see him
face to face as often as I should.
I guess what all this boils down to, is
Have a happy, buster
and may all your wishes come true.
