小梅

炊煙嫋嫋，十萬青山雲腳下
溪水盈盈，三千翠竹舍周圍
秀髮麗容，一雙辮子齊長腿
明眸皓齒，二八村姑叫小梅


Xiaomei

Cooking smoke curled up
ten thousand green mountains under the cloud feet
The clear stream water
three thousand emerald bamboos around cottages

Her beautiful hair and her pretty face
her double plaits as long as her legs
Her bright eyes and her white teeth
the sixteen years old of the village girl named Xiaomei
