Xoh, It's Luv, Luv, Luv, Luv, Luv, Luv, Luv, Luv, Luv, Luv, Poem by Fred Babbin

Xoh, It's Luv, Luv, Luv, Luv, Luv, Luv, Luv, Luv, Luv, Luv,

Rating: 3.0

My wife thought this one was cute, but not very good.

OH, IT'S LUV, LUV, LUV, LUV, LUV, LUV, LUV, LUV, LUV, LUV, LUV, IT'S LUV, ETC.

Go away Closer, dear,
Don't hug me Tighter.
Don't do that Some more
Let's go to bed early
And watch the Late, Late, News
You're too big, but put it all the way in
Take it out deeper
I'm so tired, Let's do it again
I don't love you, so now kiss me
I'm leaving you, But don't go
You're so Wonderfully terrible
And so greatly awful
You're disgusting, But I love it
You're so big and strong,
But don't strain yourself, it's so heavy
And I'm not doing your laundry -
Do you use warm or hot water?
And I'm not cooking -
What do you want for dinner?
Do you love me, and will you always love me,
as much as I love you?
I don't like your answer.
You never leave the toilet seat down –
What do you mean, I never leave it up?
And you always wet the floor –
What do you mean, I'm a lot closer?
I didn't do it, and I don't know who did-
But now I remember…
You don't understand,
I only used your razor
to shave labels off the bottles once.

I love this poem. I don't think I've seen anywhere else such a humorous-yet-accurate example of the many contradictions of spending your life with someone. It IS 'so wonderfully terrible/ And so greatly awful.' I reiterate, I luv luv luv this one!
