Yes... It Does Matter - Poem by Iris Mista

It matters
What my eyes see
If there is somebody
Willing to look at it
With me
Once in awhile

It matters
If I wake up in the morning
If there is somebody
Willing to call my name
Because of me
Once in awhile

It matters
If I have love and care in my heart
If there is somebody
Willing to accept it
And accept me too by that
Once in awhile

It matters
How I look and dress
If there is somebody
Willing to appreciate it
For me
Once in awhile

It matters
What I think and feel
If there is somebody
Willing to listen to what I've to tell
Make my words count
Once in awhile

It matters
What I do during my days
If there is somebody
Willing to be the one I am doing it for
No matter how small my gift
Once in awhile

It matters
That I suffer
If there is somebody
Willing to ease my pain
Regardless what it is
Once in awhile

It matters
I am just a human too
If there is somebody
Willing to need me too
To give me value
Once in awhile

It matters
Who I am
If there is somebody
Willing to love me
Just the way I am
Once in awhile

It matters
Who I am
If there is somebody
Willing to be loved
By me
Once in awhile
