Yesterday Poem by Prince ....

Yesterday

As the wind blows so cold
I sit remembering days of old
Living life without a care
A bright future we would share

With someone I thought so dear
Life’s meaning I found so clear
As the days turn to frost
From yesterdays insurmountable cost

I really don’t know what to do
When all I can do is think of you.
Time heals all wounds is a famous quote.
But in my head it’s the same sad note.

Will you shoulder some of the blame?
Will you even remember my damn name?
Will the sun shine down on me?
Or am I destined a lonely eternity?

They say to live for today
But all my happiness was yesterday
