Yesterday's Memory, Yesterday's Fun Poem by Catherine Agunat

Yesterday's Memory, Yesterday's Fun

I longed to paint my yesterday
The past that left a sweet memory
So I sat down on the carpeted grass
And started to swipe my coloured brush

While I am busy working on the canvas
I felt the cold wind and its gentle touch
And that makes me hunger to a pretty glance
The time that I gave my first and last dance

I closed my eyes and stopped for a while
As I tried to evoked his sweet sweet smile
When we both walked on the sacred aisle
Holding each other while we dressed in style

Then a tune of winsome music came
Trying to find me where I am
I like the rhythm, I love its melody
How it makes my heart beat so nippy

I slowly opened my eyes
Carefully whispered his name trice
Hoping that his soul will joyfully arise
After I tossed our rings like a dice

I stood up from the grass
Then set aside my canvas
And while the music was still in play
I danced with the wind smiling and gay

And when I saw the fantastic sinking of the sun
I vividly remember the blissful years that gone
Yesterday's memory, yesterday's fun
Happiness we have shared, those witty things we've done
