You Poem by Elle Jay E..

You

Memories I cant turn down.
Memories I cant replace.
Im stuck looking at memories that hurt to face.
I remember that bus ride with the tough crowd kids.
The way you all talked with those accented mouths.
You smiled and laughed about things that were hard to pronounce.
With your own little language.
At the back of the bus.
You got that black eye.
I thought you would bust.
You ran outta the room.
Then we heard you cry.
You couldnt hold back the tears, it hurt too much to try.
You stayed strong through it all.
But you have to give in sometime.
And I know it hurt too much to be alone.
I havent seen you lately.
I hope you're o kay.
Remember that talent show and the play?
We had that jump rope routine.
In just third grade.
And the play was made up.
But we still liked it the same.
That was before the drinking and parties.
That hurt too much to talk about.
But we could smell it on your clothes.
Everytime you walked out.
You walked away from school.
And you walked away from life.
You think it might be helping you.
But you've just been hurting all this time.
