You Poem by Mereia Namatua

You

What if we were meant to be
What if we were true destined
What if you were my other half
My ride or die, soul mate, till death do us part?

You came into my life like a lightning bolt
You came, you did, and then you were gone
Oh how I wish our time together was longer
As absence indeed do make the heart grow fonder

I want to embrace you like the ocean hugs the shore
You, my shore, my constant, my forevermore
If only destiny had not been so cruel
But destiny we will forever duel

You say live life with no regrets
I am jumping in without looking back
I come to you bearing my mind and soul
Please, my heart, don't dim the glow
