You And Me Poem by Cherie Mort

You And Me

I've known you since I was two years old
I've known you since I was four
I remember you at your baptisms, so small and so adored
From then you've been my sisterhood
We've grown in the same ways
But I've gotten stouter and you've gotten thinner
Not that I cared anyways
We'd cuddle up upon the couch
Or sleep upon the floor
No matter where I was with you, life was never a bore
And now we're alike in more ways than one
We're older and wiser by tons
If asked who my oldest and best friends were,
I'd say you're the only ones
