You Are A Nobody Poem by Basanta Lohani

You Are A Nobody

A flower can bloom
In the wildness of nature
Without you nurturing it.
You are a Nobdy.

You may wallow in your greatness,
But it is Nature
That heals a wound
Not you
Not your medicine.
A tiny seed grows into a mighty oak
That is the way nature has it
Not because of your magnanimity.
An embryo in mother's womb
Continues the journey,
Though the father may die
And the mother follow him
After giving birth
Yet, he can blossom up.

You are not indispensable
Not even to your own self
So why brag with overflowing emotions?
Anything that overflows spills
You are simply a nobody
And therein hangs a tale.
