You Are My Guru Poem by Basanta Lohani

You Are My Guru

Life is a cruel joke.
You come across con artists
Who have looted institutions
Reducing them to rubbles
But you have to reconcile
And live with them.
They doubt your sincerity
For which you have sacrificed everything
Skeptic they are of your sincerity
Which is like twenty-four carat gold
But that is what is in line with their business
They have never known sincerity
Those keepers of betrayal
I have learnt this lesson well
Thank you, sir.
Dattatreya had one thousand gurus
You are my guru as well
I am obliged to you, sir.
