You Are Neither Changed Nor Diminished Poem by RIC BASTASA

You Are Neither Changed Nor Diminished

You let time pass
you by

you are neither
changed
nor
diminished

nothing added
is felt
somehow

the worst thing that
happens
when every part in
you stand still

an island in the
middle of an ocean
a rock on
a cliff

a tadpole could have
served you
better
