You Are The Dawn Poem by Richard Trembath

You Are The Dawn

You are the gentle rain
And the moonlight that shimmers on still waters

You are the soft breeze
That lingers at the end of summer days.

You are the pink clouds' hues
Amid departing rays of sunset

And twilight on the far horizon
As it slowly fades to grey.

You are the endless stars, the diamond night
Before the first soft streaks of dawn

You are the dawn and all its promises,
The new tomorrow with its hopes of joy.
