You Cannot Win Them All Poem by Francis Duggan

You Cannot Win Them All

Not everybody will like you no matter how hard you may try
For to be a nice person and smile at them and say hi
There is an old saying that i can recall
That you can win some but you cannot win them all.

Yes you can win some but some others will say
That person does smile in a deceptive way
Show them a flowering garden and weeds they will see
Some do seem possessed by negativity.

So many will give you the credit you are due
But you cannot win them all so happens to be true
You are doing well if you can win eight out of ten
The same goes for women the same goes for men

Some people their own praises only can sing
The ego with them it is such a big thing
In the nicest person some fault they will find
With their words they are cruel and they cannot be kind.
