You Just Left Poem by Jennifer Woodland

You Just Left

You left me without a care in the world.
You didn’t care how it hurt me.
You just cared about you.
I was the one crying at night.
I was the one that was empty inside.
You chose to hurt me.
You chose the past that made you smile.
You chose to hurt me.
To make me feel like I was dying inside.
In the end I wanted to die.
Everything reminded me of you.
But now I don’t know what to do.
I don’t know how to live.
Knowing I could have been with you.
I remember you. I cry when I think.
About how I never got to kiss you.
Fall asleep next to you, feel you arms wrap around me.
Or hear you say I love you.
You just left me and didn’t care.
No one is here to pick up the pieces.
Just me and my broken self.
