You May Think You’re Sound

“To slide from grace can happen quick
Although we think we’re sound
The devil knows most every trick
And tries to keep us bound

It’s difficult with guilt to pray!
No help from man to find
To God you just can’t find the way
You feel you’ve lost your mind

To go to church there’s little heart
Your will has gone to fight
It seems in Christ you’ve no-more part
And feel you’ve lost the Light

Each day you’re drifting more from Him
You feel you’ve let God down
The future now looks rather dim
So sad you sit and frown

Yet still to “ALL” is Christ the Door
He stands with arms held wide
Have faith turn now to Him once more
He’d love to come inside

But give no thought, what others think
For none; can throw the stone
But Satan wants to watch you sink
And claim you for his own

Return to me my child today
Don’t sit there, nursing doubt
It’s then; the devil has his way
Have faith to cast him out

Come back my child come out the cold
Take refuge from the storm
Come take your place in Jesus’ fold
In Him its nice and warm”
