You Never Know Poem by Michelle Kidwell

As (B) leaves to embark on life, and I wish him all the best, I discover that my Cousins little girl is hospitalized.



You never know

What chapters life


Is going to give you

And sometimes

Somethings seem

To much to handle

I thought of this

As I learned of my cousins

Little girl hospitalized

At Children's Hospital

Due to a rare blood disorder

That is inerited.

I think of (B)

And the life he embarks

On

Friends for several years now

He is one of the few guys

I can truly feel comfortable around

Instantly he felt like family

Perhaps a younger brother

Or cousin even

But as time moves on

And dreams are made

Memories are shared

And we learn to weather the storm

While a little girl

Fights for her very life

I think of how even in

The toughest chapters

The Lord carries us through.
