ethereal sweeter sounds,
motivation to become interesting
You say you need to be
heightened, excited and
dulled in equal measure,
to fit into a normal world
You say you need a filter
through which to see
meaning and purpose
To keep it all contained and measured
in wonton abandon
But I've always liked you better sober.
