You told me you loved me
And that was only two days ago
Yet it feels like so much more
All my thoughts, I just can’t ignore

You told me you loved me
And that was supposed to last forever
It was supposed to be endless
But now I’m only left with sadness

You told me you loved me
That you loved me so much
I used to feel the same way
So what made me break away?

You told me you loved me
And just knowing that, always lifted my spirits
You always cared about me
You always were there for me

You told me you loved me
And that thought always kept me alive
But then I broke up with you
And I’m left with images of tears in your eyes

You told me you loved me
And that was only two days ago
But now I’m wishing we could go back in time
When I could say “I love you” this time
