You Want To Be Me Poem by Heather Perry Heather Perry

You Want To Be Me

You say you want to
be me but that's a lie
cause most of the time I
have to fight for my
life.

I cry alone all night long,
for the pain is deep and
I'm forever
sore.

One day I know I'll be
alright though
my tears have stained
my face with fright.

I pray to the Lord above
the sky in hopes that
one day I can smile at night.

I love my life but
don't be fooled
I have had it rough
ever since the age of two.

I wish my life was most
like yours so the one
I love won't beat me to the
floor.

But I'll never go away for
my girls I will
stay and so my life will
be the same.

So if you're like me go
get you some help cause I
know your life must be
living hell.

So when I die since
this is Hell I hope the Lord
will treat me well.
