Young Love Poem by Francis Duggan

Young Love

Long years of marriage it would seem is now going out of fashion
But young love it is fresh and warm and never lacks in passion
And though young love seldom last for years and it ends with tearful love aching
Most loves don't ever last for life and love can be heartbreaking,
Young people fall in and out of love and at parting of the ways there's sorrow
But for them a new love is never far away there always is tomorrow
For to make a fresh start with someone new that's part of life and living
The joy of love the ache of love the taking and the giving,
Love can be like a flower quick to come to bloom and just as quick to perish
And some memories of love we want to forget and some memories of love we cherish,
A friendship that blossoms to love can be so hard to sever
Though few love affairs are known to last and love is gone forever
And though love affairs that last for years are going out of fashion
Young love is the best love of all it never lacks in passion.
