If you give me just one chance
to be your African Soldier,
I'll take the weight of the world
off your shoulder.
I'll stand by your side,
protect you from all the battles of life
and someday pop the big question,
'will you be my wife? '
I'll spin each moment I spend with
you
like a merry-go-round,
as we grow older and weak
our love shall know no bound.
After a lifetime of meaningful
and sweet togetherness,
we shall still feel the achings
of our first kiss and gentle caress.
