Your Outlook Changes Poem by Ray Hansell

Your Outlook Changes

The leafs on the tree's look greener
The sun shines a little brighter
All the things I worried about before
I now take things so much lighter

The stars in the sky look different
More beautiful than before
As the moon lights up the landscape
Could I ever ask for more?

When you have life saving surgery
As it extends the life you wouldn't have had
You can't help but wake each morning
To be feeling so much more then glad

Your outlook on life changes
Much more than ever before
Things in the past that concerned you
You find they are not of concern anymore

Things that used to worry me
Now, don't even enter my mind
I find I'm more concerned with living
It's a much better use of my time
