Your Shore And My Shore Poem by Abhay Vignesh Liginlal

Your Shore And My Shore

Rating: 2.0

Once upon a time, a stranger came like a shadow, in the moonlit night
There was no moon in the darkness of my hut, but a lamp,
I gave my guest all that I had
In return he gave me all that he had,
The other shore was green for both of us;

I have been traveling for quite some time, like an unbound shadow
I have seen the brilliance of the moon,
Imperfection of the crescent moon and darkness of the eclipse,
They have all passed away like every dark day in life
Now I wish to seek out the darkness of shelter,
I became a strangers guest and gave him all that is mine
I cursed him with the burden of my wanderings.
