Your whispers I heard
Even though in a crowd
From your sorrows of silence
Rose my song of love
I flew past you
Like zephyr so gentle
But you heard not my groans
Cos youre lost in your world

The crimson of the wines
From the goblets you have
To thee I swear
From the depths of my heart
There shall not be another
Another Majnu
Like how thou art

I just took a chance to read any of your poems and it was my choice. I've gone for a right choice. This poem is too good to touch and penetrate a heart whom the expressions are meant.
    Last line is so nice....
    I swear
From the depths of my heart
    There shall not be another
    Another Majnu
    Like how thou art

    I enjoyed the poem.

A vote of appreciation for one of a kind majnu.
His whispers you heard from which rose the song of your love.
Mission accomplished for you, dear majnu.
    Fascinating indeed Anju. (Report) Reply

    not a majnu like him
    and a laila like you

may god bless the laila and majnu.... (Report) Reply

    What Did Ye Know

The one knowing not the secrete
How shall then the beloved of self
Didst to the sun did point the finger
Didst someone told what night was like
What desert of love was like what thirst meant
What wine was when her eyes were goblet
When risen was the moon to sunset
When prayer was on the stone step of that door
Reciting the only chant was her name
Let the compass of my life be the eyes
Let the one be like the halo silver
Of colors that the dreams to dare
Nay the narrations visions are seen
Who on love has bidden life dear
Who then no one shall know his love
Majnun not then what did ye know

.............You have written a lovely poem. I take it to my fav list.10 and much more for you. (Report) Reply

    There are whispers divine
in mind's jungle of trees and vines
that speaks gently, as gentle zephyr
to the man rolling in wordly mire
tune your mind to that unearthly voice
and surely your soul would start to rejoice.....a good write...10+++.... (Report) Reply

Good-night? ah! no; the hour is ill
Which severs those it should unite;
Let us remain together still,
Then it will be good night.

How can I call the lone night good,
