You've Been Such A Wonderful Mother Poem by Loyd C Taylor Sr

You've Been Such A Wonderful Mother

Rating: 5.0

For the nine months you carried each babe in your womb,
‘Till the moment you safely delivered them;
You've been such a wonderful Mother.

From the time you brought our first child into this world,
‘Till the last one you cradled in your arms;
You've been such a wonderful Mother.

For the baths that you gave and the meals you prepared,
For the countless loads of laundry you washed;
You've been such a wonderful Mother.

For tenderness when they cried and drying their eyes,
For the long hours you sat up with them;
You've been such a wonderful Mother.

For the times you sat up and the prayers you prayed,
For the tears that you shed for them all;
You've been a wonderful Mother.

For sacrifices made and great advice that you gave,
For all the fearful moments you have braved;
You've been such a wonderful Mother.

Your name may never be in the world's spotlight,
Nor your picture grace a magazine cover;
But on this Mother's Day we all sing your praise,
Because you've been such a wonderful Mother!

Happy Mother's Day!
