Run, nay walk, jump off highway, far too slow
Race along rails, meetings to attend, yap n gobble
Muscles screech, mind freezes, heart protests

A slot for everyone, everyone in their slots
Like parts of a machine, efficient in blandness
Unless in dissent, perpetrating change.

Not all men, feet aground stand shoulder to shoulder
Some stand tall, while others short,
Some short stand tall, while some tall stand short indeed
Some short stand short, while some tall stand tall as intended.

Come on off clouds, down aground,
Feel thy heart, slowing its beats,
Hear thy breath, leaking an escape,

Bidding adieu to hopeless hopes, depthless dreams,
Stepping into threshold of youthful maturity
Mayhaps seldom youthful, mostly mature,
Buried in the haloed dusty depths of ledgers,
...

Then, silence became my world
Laughter strangled in silence
Love stumbled in silence
Hope sank in silence
...

Try not a friendship, for gain sole
Lend not to foes nor friends,
Forgetfulness feeds foes, forgoes friends
Pray not for wealth nay beauty
...

Soapy surfs hitting silver sandy beaches
Velvet land green caressing placid blue lakes
Rolling clouds kissing rising mountain tops
Contrasts soothen sore eyes bleary

A before, before a beginning,
An after, after an end
World spins around nicely, merely,
On a belief so tenous, held so staunchly,
