Rajashi Sengupta Mothey Poems

Eyelids shut, I look within
Contemplation, Condemnation
Assertion, Appropriation.
...

I set my eyes on your radiant countenence
There you are in your innocence,
Oblivious to the contradictions
Ravaging civilizations.
...

In the eyes of many...
I was perceived, I see
As a newly wed bride...
But I've gently lifted my veil,
...

The listless resignation of the soul,
Bridled with emotions,
Wandering on a blissful orchestration
Of a drifting speck of light,
...

The chloroformed sky,
Above the medicated mind,
Forced to go blind.
Accepting restriction,
...

Resound to greet
With accolades galore
The thirsty mind
Within the thirsty body.
...

The window outside seems strange and cold,
Rays of light unfold, engulfed in a foreboding darkness
of the mind and soul
Am I to hold? Am I to hold?
...

Stateless Mind

Eyelids shut, I look within
Contemplation, Condemnation
Assertion, Appropriation.

Tears streaming down
Slaughtered,
By a smile
Gently touching the corner of my lips,
Mocking, condemning.

I look within,
Accusation, Anticipation
Deception, Dedication.

Conflict of conscience
What is wrong or right?
Drains out Life's blood,
Seeping through crevices,
Sobbing, absorbing.
