The Altogether Lovely One
and the Fairest of the fair
The King of kings and Lord of lords
to Whom no one can compare.

It was a dry and barren place and you seemed so far away.
My soul had warped and withered and I could not even pray.
A long and difficult road had led me to this dark place;
for I had wandered from the path and could not see your face.

'Come follow me, ' Jesus said
so I followed on as He led.
Step by step and day by day
walking with Him all the way.
...
With joy and yet with trepidation
I walk on boldly with the Lord
Full of doubts and anticipation
I am trusting in His word.
...
It was a precious moment; a moment so divine
when you appeared into my life and your eyes first met mine.
The world appeared to stand still caught up in such ecstasy
and my heart was smitten by the girl standing there next to me.
...
Peace, all other peace transcending
Peace so eternal and unending.
Peace that passes all understanding
Peace so perfect and undemanding
