(The faithful)
Imagine if you will,
a woman rightly not fit for sight.
...

Strange man laying in my bed-
Thank you for your attempt to comfort and your kind words you've said.

I mean no offense to you,
...

Imaginary!
I can imagine your blessed innocence,
You muse and speculate in your imagination.
Ahh, what a relief to believe that I truly have a choice in this!
...

I am a butterfly
I flitter about
I rest awhile
I soar

Can I Help You See More Clearly?

(The faithful)
Imagine if you will,
a woman rightly not fit for sight.

I underestimated her,
her skill and will to fight.

With her own grace and ease,
I’m sure she was entertained and amused.

The sanctity of my marriage,
she eagerly trashed and used.

These shallow words insult me!
How could I ever describe this state of despair?

The purity and intimacy,
she felt entitled to share.

How dare you woman of loose words,
feel entitled each day to awake?

You who feel entitled,
what you want, you reach and take.

But I know you’d so pridefully reply.
“Did I rape him? Was he forced? Shall I lie? ”

Then you’d say so full of quick wit.
“If he wanted to be faithful, at home he’d sit! ”

(The unfaithful)
We both know and you can’t deny.
He didn’t squirm or squiggle.
No, he didn’t even try.

So go on hating me,
if that is what makes it right.

You don’t hurt me,
it’s your own self you deny sight.

It is what it is and I am what I am.
Did I make you empty promises?
Do we need an unspotted lamb?

I surely owe you nothing;
and your loss, I sure don’t sit and measure.

Look to that amazing man,
so faithful, your prideful treasure.

What a laughable mockery for you to hate me.
An unfaithful uncaring man you will begin to see!

You have no idea the pay-off for me was a win either way.

I could steal his heart and run,
or shatter his love for you.

As I said, either way,
for me makes for a glorious day!

(The faithful)
Maybe you could enlighten me just a little of your snide remarks.
What were they to accomplish? What were they for?

Married woman, can you help me understand?
What business have you seducing another man?

Your words of undying love,
so honest pure and true.

My husband gobbled and swallowed,
and never even chewed.

Can you- if I may,
Press just a little, so I can hear you say.

Are you truly happy? At night do you find rest?
I for one am in darkness, quite honestly feels like death.

I am haunted by my husband being intimate with you.
What did he really feel? Is this pain worth going through?

My soul laid bare on a platter,
to you is old news.

I owe you my intimacies?
To you I must pay my dues?

(Conclusion)
Once again I must look deep within my heart.
You were merely musing,
relishing your spoon-fed part.
