When is a quarter a fortune alone?
When do they buy happiness wthout being spent?
Only when they are thrown.

Spiders in my head
Cobwebs catch on everything
Cling to everything

She's sleeping when i leave
i'm a'bed when she crashes home
lying together, we live alone
Thus like one bereaved

What I thought
Is I had brought
The devil with me

Wishing Stone

When is a penny worth more than a cent?
When is a quarter a fortune alone?
When do they buy happiness wthout being spent?
Only when they are thrown.

Nickel plated envelopes carry copper coated prayers,
Silver secrets for God's ears alone,
Blessed, hopeful messengers, each one bears
A mission all its own.

Those that fail are lost forever,
dreams and coin plumb the unknown
But those that succeed in their endeavor
glitter like heroes upon the wishing stone.
