it has us nearly damned
clamouring for attention
stealing all our time

I turned around and everybody’s gone

How sweet it is to meet the bright new day
and face the challenge of its shape and way

To feel the morning Sun upon your face
...

A bike
a dog
a friend
...

I ran backwards for three weeks
just to see the way you smiled
Climbed the Seven Hills of Rome
to catch the echo of your voice
...

My i-Pod is broken
nobody knows
well it works socially
but I miss the music
...

After many pages flowing
prose my eyes begin to close
I find a marker in the folds
and turning over to my right
...

And all those futile things I do
I do to fill my mind with words
and overworked it often works
but sometimes somewhere
...

In the distance the minor peaks of minor mountains
came and went in the frequent rain.
The same rain that kept everything green
then flowed into the river and on into the lake.
