But wants and desires will never leave us even in dreams

A snake coiled around
the neck of Lord siva
can speak to the hawk
without any fear

Knowing not what is in store
Mind draws plans of its own
Smart we feel by achieving success
Strange we ignore potency of Times

This world you came
Specific with some purpose
In the womb you planned
A life of morals to live
...

Generations to come envy us for ever
For being contemporaries of a legend
Mandela the great, who inspired
the deprived to raise against apartheid
...

Noticed myself the missing spark within me
neither an ad in media nor a complaint
going to retrieve and restore it to me
On its own that has to return

When not bothered with other thoughts
mundane or by moorings of mind
When not involved in any activities
routine or rumblings for a living

A hot summer afternoon nature wore a deserted look
Naked trees water less river dried lake and thirsty throats
The sun was severe the heat was horrible signaling a drought
Perched on a leafless tree a lonely bird singing a lifeless song

Time has no mercy time knows no hatred
Time ushers love time instills fear
