Don'T Pretend Poem by Somanathan Iyer

Don'T Pretend

This world you came
Specific with some purpose
In the womb you planned
A life of morals to live
Eclipsed by illusion
Engulfed by ignorance
You deviated from goal
Knowing everything
You pretend nothing
Extending your captivity
Distancing from reality
How far you will go?
How long you will suffer?
Shake off your shackles
Oh! Soul! You are
Answerable to God!
