2000 Miles Poem by Aimee Nell

2000 Miles

Rating: 5.0

I see you in my dreams.
I run,
Screaming,
Calling out for you.
My skin burns.
My heart is frozen.
I know only you can heal me.
But you're two thousand miles away.
I know if I reach you,
I can live again.
Your touch can heal my charred skin.
Your kiss can warm my soul.
But you're two thousand miles away.
-
I know you can turn this hell into a nightmare.
You can make it only a dream.
You can wake me up,
Save me from this life I've lived.
But you're two thousand miles away.
-
I scream for you.
I long for you.
But you'll never hear my cries.
I wonder if I'll ever reach you.
I wonder if I'll reach you in time.
You're two thousand miles away.

Nice poem. Came deep from the heart. I like that the reader can tell where your coming from, from the core of your heart and vividly picture the scene in there mind
