All Of Me? Poem by Siana Casram

All Of Me?

Rating: 5.0

You want to say “take me, but don’t hurt me.”
Your want to say “lead me, but please don’t take control.”
You want to say “have me, but never use me.”
You can’t, those aren’t the words.

The song, your song cries out
All of me
Why not take all of me?
Can’t you see…
Chanel says take your chance.
So how hard can it be?

But where’s the dignity in absolute surrender,
You want to know, and so do I.
Where’s the dignity in love?

You try, you really do, to say the words.
Your Pinocchio love, no strings attached.
Instead you tell a simple lie.

I trust you
