Already Gone Poem by Allan Thorne

Already Gone

I am living with a woman who has gone away.
I still have a place in her bed for now,
But I lost my place in her future long ago.

She wants to be leaving but the fare is to high,
She's waiting for a sale,
For summer blowout savings.
For the kids to grow up,
For the job to end,
For all the reasons to stay to go.

The waiting is long as waiting is
and those forced to wait get cranky.

Sorry your love life turned so sad. Now it’s time to build a new you before you jump in again. Chasing love with blinders on misses a lot of life’s great opportunities. Adeline
