Asleep At The Wheel Poem by David Harris

Asleep At The Wheel

Rating: 4.5

The lights on long motorways
hypnotise your eyes
and sleep can call suddenly
within the blinking of an eye.
Your control looses its grip
against the backdropp of the stars.
You find yourself asleep at the wheel
as you race into oblivion.
